Child Care Program Opens New Preschool site

Sylvania Community Services Child Care program was proud to celebrate the opening of a new Preschool Location at 5900 Woodrow Drive called “Woodrow Child Care Center” on Monday August 24th, 2009. A ribbon cutting ceremony with Sylvania’s own town crier Mike Lieber was held that day. This location offers preschool for children ages 3-5 and half-day care for Kindergarten age children. These programs were previously housed in the Burnham building.

The building on Woodrow Drive has been completely renovated for our use and to meet our needs, with fresh paint, new flooring, plus new and refurbished mechanical systems.

Parking, just steps from and on the same level as the front door, will facilitate parent drop-off and pick-up. There’s even a separate entrance for school bus pick-up and drop-off (for Grade K). A safe, shaded and fenced play area is equipped with familiar play structures and toys. A garden is planned. And best of all, we will remain within walking distance of Sylvania city and downtown resources for field trips.
