Child Care

For over 25 years, Sylvania Child Care (a department of Sylvania Community Services) has provided year-round care in a safe, secure learning environment for school-age and preschool children, now in nine strategically placed locations in Sylvania. Parents have come to rely on the peace of mind they receive knowing that their children are well cared for in a safe and fun learning environment.

More than 500 children are enrolled annually in our Ohio licensed Child Care Programs. Creative activities, interesting field trips, and a caring staff ensure a positive environment that nurtures and enriches children. These programs are available year-round for Grades K-6 and for preschool children ages 3-5. Programs are open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. All school age programs have a One-Star Rating by the Ohio Step-Up-To-Quality program, and our Woodrow Preschool boasts a Three-Star Rating.
The staff is highly trained and many have over 10 years of child care experience. Lead teachers are Early Childhood Education majors and all teachers participate in ongoing in-service training in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases, and Child Abuse Prevention.
