Child Care
The Child Care program helps area families by offering a pay-only-when-you-stay policy. Parents pay only for the hours their children attend. Services provided are before and after school care for grades K thru 6, and all day preschool care for 3 to 5 year olds. Care is offered in the Sylvania elementary schools; Northview High School; and at Woodrow Child Care Center. Additionally care is provided during teacher in-service days, late start days and snow days along with extensive programs (camps) for winter, spring and summer breaks. Sylvania Senior Center The Sylvania Senior Center located at 7140 Sylvania Avenue provides a broad spectrum of services, including health, social, education, and recreational services. It serves as a focal point for the delivery of services to older adults in the Sylvania community. The Sylvania Senior Center serves close to 3000 people annually age 55+ in its programs. In addition it links participants with resources offered by other agencies. Foundation The Sylvania Community Services Center Foundation was established in 2005 with a bequest from the estate of Sophie House, a longtime participant of the Sylvania Senior Center. The Foundation was formed exclusively to support the programs of Sylvania Community Services Center, Inc. into the future. Donations and bequests are accepted and gratefully appreciated.
